Mission/ Priorities/ Core Values/ List of Election Services

Mission
   The Mission of the Board of Elections is to provide free, open, honest, and professionally managed election services to our community.

The BOE is unique among government agencies providing goods and services to their citizens. We have the responsibility for protecting the will of the people; protecting democracy as a concept and form of government; and for establishing fairness and equity for all in the process of self governance.
 
Priorities
We work for the Public and we do the Public's business. We provide an open, honest, and non-partisan elections process. We maintain an accurate data base. We provide outstanding customer service. We provide timely, accurate, and legally correct information. We strive to make government a positive experience for our citizens. We want to earn the trust and respect of our citizens.

Election Services Provided
Maintain our data base. Ensure proper geo-coding for all citizens. Contract for and maintain polling places. Recruit, train, and maintain precinct officials. Provide public information and statistics. Write training manuals. Educate the public and media about election law. Receive, audit, and maintain campaign finance reports. Speak to citizen groups. Maintain all election supplies and equipment. Conduct candidate filing. Design and procure appropriate ballots. Design and maintain open, honest, and accurate vote counting and reporting systems.
