“In Touch with Durham County”,  talk show now airs daily on Cable Channel 8. This new show replaces the former Durham County Government show that viewers have enjoyed since 1991.  The current show features an interview with Commissioner Brenda A. Howerton and a segment on H1N1 featuring Durham County Public Health Director Gayle B. Harris.

Michael Page, Chairman of the Durham Board of County Commissioners and Assistant County Manager Deborah Craig-Ray are hosts.The purpose of the show is to share relevant, timely information from Durham County community partner agencies, as well as provide interviews with elected officials, county department heads and key staff. Future topics include elections, updates on H1N1 or “swine flu” and other health topics as well as profiiles on various county nonprofit agencies.
